Compare to conventional CPAP inrface
Conventional CPAP interfaces are used over the nose or over the nose and mouth. A study had been published on the annual American Academy of Sleep meeting that continuous use of nasal CPAP mask collapses the facial skeletal bone, therefore increasing the symptoms of snoring and sleep apnea. BioPAP has no elastic straps therefore does not collapse the facial skeletal bone of the user. One of the spread complaints of mask users is the breakage and irritation of skin at the contact of silicone seal, this is not the case with BioPAP.
